How to set yourself up for the best night of your life!

Are YOU finding It hard to SWITCH OFF and get to SLEEP? Then this is for YOU!



A good wind down routine is an important part of preparing yourself for bed. Follow this checklist to prime your body and mind for rest and recovery!

Sleep is something you long for yet when you have the chance often we ca nfind ourselves lying awake for hours counting sheep or stressing about the next day.


A good wind down routine is an important part of preparing yourself for bed. Follow this checklist to prime your body and mind for rest and recovery!


Step 1. Close Down Your Workday 👩‍💻

Finish your workday by listing any important tasks for the next day and close down any devices. This will help to clear your mind leaving you ready for the evening ahead.


Step 2. Mindful Meal 🥘

Eat a nutritious device free mindful meal 2-3 hours before sleep. Eat slowly enjoying the flavours and whatever company you have.


Step 3. Turn the lights down 💡

Turning off any bright lights especially LEDs and blue lights, will help to signal to the body that it is time to wind down.


Step 4. Switch off 📱

Turn off all devices and screens – yes even the TV. Our body is very sensitive to the blue light that comes from screens which sends a message to our internal clock that it is still daytime


Step 5. Wind down Activities 🧘‍♀️

Utilise the next few hours before bed to do gentle screen free wind down activities

- Listen to a Podcast

- Preparing you lunch for the next day

- Call a friend

- Play a musical instrument

- Yoga

- Stretch

- Take a bath

- Light a Candle or a burner with essential oils such as lavender


Step 5. Leave bed for sleeping 🛏

This will help your body to associate the bed with sleep and make it easier for you to drift off.
